Thank you for helping us to test this new mobile application for your club or training group.
What is it? GO2TEN is a new unique sports loyalty programme for sports clubs, governing bodies and sport venues to recognise and reward their members, officials and volunteers for their continuous commitment to the sport. It’s a new mobile application designed by athletes which creates friendly competition between clubs, and rewards loyalty automatically without the club or the individual having to do anything. All users need to do is download the app and remember their mobile phone when they train, compete, volunteer or spectate. It’s also free for users too, and the rewards that they receive could mount to hundreds of pounds!
How does it work? Every time club members and supporters train, compete, volunteer, spectate, attend a workshop or any other relevant event in the sport, to encourage and reward their loyalty, they will automatically accumulate participation points through the Go2Ten app on their mobile devices. These points can then be converted into real benefits such as discounted sports equipment, clothing, meals out and sport nutrition packages. So the more people get involved and commit to the club and the affiliated sport, the more they get back as a thank you!
Who can take part in the pilot? Anyone involved or interested in athletics at the moment. This includes seniors, juniors (15 and over), volunteers and even parents and other family members too. Just as long as you own a mobile phone, can download an app and watch or take part in sport. The company is currently looking for 100 athletes, volunteers or parents to test the application on their mobiles, for which you will receive a number of attractive benefits as rewards, which you access the more you train, volunteer, spectate or compete.
Please note that parents or guardians of under 18s can use the app themselves of course, but if they wish for their son or daughter to use it, provided they are over 15, they should email us giving their parental consent. Without permission, we regret that any u18 accounts will eventually have to be deleted during the pilot phase.
Click on the ‘app download’ button below and as this is a trial at the moment, it takes you to something called Test Flight if you’re an iPhone user and Google Play console if you own an Android phone. Simply follow the instructions from there.
Sign up by completing the form in the app and then simply turn up to training remembering not to forget your mobile device of course!
What should happen is that when you get close to Cwrt Herbert, you will automatically receive a notification on your phone instructing you to stay for at least 1 hour (if not, open the app on your phone and it should check you in to your training session automatically)
Once the app has recognised that you are there, and have stayed for at least an hour, you may receive another notification. This reminds you that you have earned some points and need to convert these into credits that you can eventually spend in our in-app shop.
As this is a test, things may well go wrong! In fact, we’re expecting it. So what we need you to do is to please message us by emailing Go2Ten@theboundri.com with any issues or questions that you may have, or look out for us in Neath on training nights over the next few weeks.
Please note: Go2Ten is only open to anyone over the age of 15 at the moment, and parents of anyone under the age of 18 will need to grant their consent by emailing us at Go2Ten@theboundri.com
Please note this is a one way channel so you won’t be bombarded with everyone else’s comments, as only the group admin (that’s us!) can post on here. Don’t worry, it will only be useful information to help us all during this testing phase, but it is essential as a Go2Ten tester that you join.
